ABRAZO AL AGUA 2025 9 de agosto 13:00h

Datos a día de hoy, 144 organizaciones apoyando la iniciativa, 107 cadenas distribuidas por el mundo donde tienen problemas de conservación de los ecosistemas acuáticos o que quieren participar para conservar su entorno ahora que todavía es saludable.
Cualquiera puede organizar una cadena humana donde esté el día 9 a las 13:00h, para salir en el mapa basta que nos lo manden a abrazoalagua@gmail.com
Donde se quiera hacer va bien, porque todas las aguas son la misma agua y todos los mares el mismo mar. 
Si cambia el día o la hora por decisiones del grupo, avisad para que lo pongamos en el mapa también que la gente no se pierda.

Las masas de agua y sus seres vivos están en grave peligro actualmente por la contaminación de origen humano: minas, agroindustrias, ganadería intensiva, plásticos, polución…
Anímate con tu familia, comunidad, grupo, asociación… para hacer una cadena humana en el ecosistema acuático más cercano y mándanos la información: nombre, lugar, tfno. contacto, página web… para que te demos de alta en el mapa mundial con las cadenas humanas alrededor del agua que realizaremos el 9 de agosto de 2025.

Por supuesto podéis aprovechar el que vuestro colectivo esté participando de la iniciativa global común para dar a conocer en vuestros medios locales, regionales, nacionales, internacionales… cómo están los ecosistemas que queremos proteger. Usemos el esfuerzo colectivo para fortalecernos de cara a la difusión de nuestros objetivos, hacer contactos, despertar simpatías…Todos los seres vivos necesitamos el agua en buen estado y respirar aire limpio, también los periodistas, no lo olvidemos

Entre las cadenas humanas de este año, se acaba de sumar una en Gaza, ver googlemap en abrazoalagua.org. Me han dicho que el sitio es cercano pero no donde lo van a hacer porque tienen miedo a los francotiradores y que harán lo que puedan, pero que tienen problemas graves con el agua y se suman a nuestra lucha global por los ecosistemas.

La iglesia quiere reunir a cientos de miles alrededor del lago Vättern en un abrazo
Las amenazas contra el lago Vättern como fuente de agua potable necesitan ser visibilizadas. Así lo afirma la red Iglesia Verde, que junto con varias organizaciones está organizando una manifestación con el objetivo de reunir a 300,000 personas en una cadena humana alrededor del lago.
– Esto lo hacemos para crear una opinión visible a favor de proteger el agua limpia de Vättern, dice Erik Dreier, sacerdote de la Iglesia Sueca en Jönköping.
Desde principios de mayo, el grupo impulsor Acción para salvar Vättern, junto con la red Iglesia Verde, Madres Rebeldes y la Sociedad para la Conservación de la Naturaleza, han estado animando a la gente a reunirse alrededor del lago Vättern para formar una cadena humana de abrazo. El acto final será este sábado a las 14:00 horas.
El objetivo es producir una película con 300,000 personas abrazando Vättern y mostrarla a los responsables políticos.
300,000 personas es también el número de personas que actualmente utilizan el lago como fuente de agua potable.
Amenazas contra Vättern
Después de muchos años de apelaciones, el gobierno recientemente eliminó todos los obstáculos para que las Fuerzas Armadas puedan disparar hacia objetivos sobre el lago Vättern, algo que el grupo ambientalista Acción para salvar Vättern ha criticado fuertemente.
También la red Iglesia Verde, compuesta por varias congregaciones, considera que las amenazas contra Vättern son numerosas. Se trata de ejercicios de tiro en el norte del lago que provocan que la munición termine en el fondo, químicos PFAS que se filtran en el agua, y las posibles consecuencias de una eventual explotación minera.
En el video de arriba, Erik Dreier, sacerdote de la Iglesia Sueca en Jönköping, explica por qué considera que la iglesia debe involucrarse en la manifestación del sábado.

The church wants
to gather hundreds of thousands around Lake Vättern in a hug.
The threats
against Lake Vättern as a source of drinking water need to be made visible.

organizations, is organizing a demonstration with the goal of gathering 300,000
people in a human chain around the lake.
“We're doing
this to raise awareness in favor of protecting Vättern's clean water,” says
Erik Dreier, a priest with the Church of Sweden in Jönköping.
Since early
May, the Action to Save Vättern initiative, together with the Green Church
network, Rebel Mothers, and the Nature Conservation Society, has been
encouraging people to gather around Lake Vättern to form a human hugging chain.
The final event will be this Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
The goal is to
produce a film with 300,000 people hugging Vättern and show it to policymakers.
300,000 people
is also the number of people currently using the lake as a source of drinking
water.
Threats
Against Vättern
After many
years of appeals, the government recently removed all obstacles to the Armed
Forces firing at targets on Lake Vättern, something strongly criticized by the
environmental group Action to Save Vättern.
The Green
Church network, made up of several congregations, also believes the threats
against Vättern are numerous. These include shooting exercises in the northern
part of the lake that cause ammunition to end up on the bottom, PFAS chemicals
leaching into the water, and the potential consequences of potential mining.
